“Over my year in industry, I worked as an intern at eg technology. As an intern, I worked on a variety of projects, at all stages of product development and in a range of engineering departments. Overall, my responsibilities at eg technology included software development, material selection, supporting usability trials, and early-stage product research and concept generation. I enhanced my technical skills in programming languages (C#, C++, Rust, Python), image processing, product testing and medical device documentation (IEC-62304 standard). On top of this, I built my soft skills, professional communication and time management, through conducting meetings with company clients and medical professionals, leading internal meetings, writing documentation and managing my workload with multiple projects. Overall, eg technology has supported my development as both a software and medical engineer, and prepared me well for my final year of university and future career.”
