University Graduates

Start your career at eg

We are always looking for creative and talented university graduates for full-time permanent positions. We can offer our graduates an amazing start to their career. Working at eg is all-hands on deck and graduates are expected to take on a wide variety of responsibilities very quickly. It is a steep learning curve which means we can constantly challenge our graduates to learn new technologies, develop their skills and take real ownership of their work. They are involved in really interesting projects covering all aspects of the product development process.

Because we are a small company, we operate on a much flatter management structure which means our graduates work directly with founders, senior management team, team leads, peers and clients. This enables them to learn more about the whole company, from brainstorming ideas to project management through to commercial networking opportunities and client-facing meetings.

We are proud to say that our staff retention is excellent. We achieve this by listening to what our team members want to do and how they want to grow. Career progression, personal development and staff well-being are all high on our list of priorities.

What our graduates say…

I joined eg technology because I wanted a career in which I could be involved with designing medical devices. By joining a small company, I can fully immerse myself into a project and be involved with various, if not all, stages of the design process. Unlike most graduate schemes, rather than starting a job by going through a long training phase, I was involved in meetings and given projects within my first few days. This practical way of learning, and the one-to-one support to help me overcome hurdles, has allowed me to learn so much so early on in my career.

As a graduate of Imperial College London, I've found eg technology to be a rewarding place to work in the year I've been here so far. The opportunity to hit the ground running by working on varied real-world projects as a part of the electronics team, combined with the nature of eg as a small and growing company well supplied with knowledgeable and talented colleagues, means that there is a path to grow organically as an engineer that I found more appealing than graduate schemes. At university, I developed an interest in medical electronic devices and found that working with and developing varied skills was important to me. eg has a large portfolio of medical and consumer projects, which allows me to develop my capabilities on stimulating and complex projects, and as a consultancy that can take on a concept and evolve it through the development process into a finished product, there certainly is a wide variety of challenges!
